Twirling Times, Spinning World - A Nature Lover's Poetic Response
Earth I Love You, and I'd like to believe we all do... at least way deep down :)
Hello Lovely,
Catching a spot in your awareness to drop a download direct from the earth.
I asked to know the secrets and heard this poem arise on the wind.
There is a well of wisdom held in the core of the blueprint of life.
Much information swirls around us. Somewhat like a storm kicking up the dirt that also gives birth to flowers. This energy has both chaos and calm.
Many opinions create a spinning in our worlds. And we can find ourselves asking, what is real?
I’m not here to answer for you.
I am here to say in play that one thing we know to be true is the planet we call home is turning with the seasons big and small, and through it all we find our place.
In the whirling of the twirl we can anchor to a truth that changing times is the rhyme that holds the rhythm of existence.
Yes poetry is a vibe and while I don’t follow poetic academic protocol I do enjoy the challenge of finding my voice through a flow of words I feel from living this one sweet life. I am listening and responding, and through it understanding.
In an effort to land my two feet to the ground I took notes of what was spun around by the ways of the universe.
As I danced in pursuit of wanting to remain true to what I love the most, planet green and blue, and all its living beings imbued as unique offering.
I heard once the earth describes as a potato. As someone living in “potato valley” (Pemberton) I decided to investigate…
As things swing wildly out of unison I still hear the song of the one heart singing.
One thing we all have in common is the ground on which we live, the earth and gravity that hold us here, together.
I really hope that love will find its way forward. I continue to give energy and care to this vision of unity in diversity.
Regardless of all that is transpiring, I am still over the moon in-love with this place - the magical planet earth.
On the tail of earth day or week, and poetry month, I wanted to share a slice of my life where I create in devotion to loving the heck out of this crazy beautiful home we share. Each day I live is a writing of a love letter.
Please enjoy this short(ish!) poem and have a fine day!

Thich Nhat Hanh’s Love Letter to the Earth
The earth is you. You are the earth. When you realize there is no separation, says the late Thich Nhat Hanh, you fall completely in love with this beautiful planet.
We often forget that the planet we are living on has given us all the elements that make up our bodies. The water in our flesh, our bones, and all the microscopic cells inside our bodies all come from the earth and are part of the earth. The earth is not just the environment we live in. We are the earth and we are always carrying her within us. (From Lion’s Roar newsletter)
